Spend an evening learning to snorkel for fun. We teach you the techniques and build your confidence, so that next time you’re away on holiday you can enjoy everything the sea has to offer.
You’ll be met by your own instructor, who stays with you one to one for the whole evening. They’ll take you through the equipment and make sure you have everything you need.
From the clubhouse we head across to the pool at Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre, ready to be in the water for 8pm. We book half the pool for club use, so there’s plenty of room to explore.
You’ll spend the next hour learning the sport and finding out how much fun it is gliding along the surface and peering down to the bottom of the pool. We’ll show you how to use the equipment correctly, how to breathe when snorkelling and — depending on how you get on — how to free dive under the water.
Afterwards we head back to the clubhouse to return the equipment and debrief, finishing around 9:30pm. You’ll get a certificate for your experience, and the team is happy to advise if you’d like to take it further. You may even be hooked and want to come back to try scuba diving.
Your swimming outfit, a towel, and a £1 coin for the lockers. The £32.50 price includes equipment hire, pool entry and your instructor.
